Beyond THE FUTURE: Imagine A Great Election
I’ve been busy. Sherry Seiber of Pearl Street Publishing (home of One Sister’s Song) is developing sites that delve into politics and law, and I’ve been working with her on one that’s near and dear to my heart: ImagineAGreatElection.com. Designed to help voters (like me) who prefer to tune out the media hoopla and read about politicians and their plans in specific terms, Imagine A Great Election provides nonpartisan bullet-point rundowns of top issues; abstracts of media reports regarding the candidates; and important, insightful opinion pieces such as Beyond Spin and Demanding Diligence.
Want to know where Obama and McCain stand on Taxes, Foreign Policy, Health Care, Education? Imagine A Great Election distills candidates’ messages regarding such issues down to fundamental facts. While helpful for undecided voters during the current race to the White House, Imagine A Great Election will continue to serve voters in future presidential as well as mid-term elections. The site also provides links to major media outlets for those who’d like to voice their dismay, concern, or hopes regarding media coverage (or lack of coverage) of issues that truly matter.
In preparation for the next and final presidential debate, check out the Debate Primer. You can even print out a Presidential Debate Guide if you’d like to track what’s covered (and what’s not) during the debate and how each candidate fares in his discussion of the issues that are most important to you.
While Imagine A Great Election will always be a work in progress, it’s already a terrific resource. At least I think so. Take a look, and let me know what you think.

Wow, Karen, what a wonderful idea. Thank you for sharing this.
Thanks for sharing this great resource. #2 daughter and I have been watching and talking about this process. I hope that wisdom prevails.
I'd have to take some serious drugs to imagine a great election.
Really, I've given up.
Cool site!
Twoblueday, don't give up!!
Great link. Thank you! I can hardly wait until the election is over. I'm trusting and hoping that the process will work but I want to know that it has worked. The waiting is hard...
Just realized I failed to comment on these comments! Sorry! Thanks to all for checking out Imagine A Great Election. It's apparent every time a reporter puts a mike in front of a voter that most folks need an easy resource for this sort of thing. Onward to November! K.
BRAVO! A great resource to which I will refer others. Thanks for this.
