Beyond THE FUTURE: The Know Something Project
On such a memorable inauguration day, I’m pleased to have helped launch a new website: The Know Something Project. As the site’s mission statement puts it:
The Know Something Project is dedicated to the dissemination of details and information to which all citizens of the United States deserve access. The humanistic approach of the Know Something Project centers on the discussion of civil liberties. It also stems from the belief it is time for Americans to set aside divisive party lines and other often harmful distinctions in order to embark on a new, unified effort for the sake of all our citizens.
Coupled with my work since before the election on Imagine A Great Election, my upcoming efforts on the part of the Know Something Project promise to teach me a great deal. As we celebrate today’s inauguration the day after our national celebration of the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., let’s keep in mind three guiding principles espoused by Dr. King that also seem to be at the heart of our new president’s vision. As noted currently on Imagine A Great Election in a brief piece called “Honoring the Message as well as the Messenger,” these principles deserve to be heeded and honored worldwide. We look to the future with great hope that some day they will:
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

A right delayed is a right denied.
It is not enough to say we must not wage war. It is necessary to love peace and sacrifice for it.
